Broadcasting Samourai Wallet Transaction Using RoninDojo UI
Are you using Samourai Wallet on an offline device? Wondering how you can spend from a Samourai Wallet in 'Offline' mode? It's easier than you think.
You'll need:
- Samourai Wallet
- Fully Synced RoninDojo
- Standard Notes (or equivalent, or another phone to scan a QR code)
Start by constructing your transaction in Samourai Wallet as you would normally
Next confirm the info is correct
The transaction has now been signed!
It will display the signed HEX tx output by default. You can 'copy to clipboard' and securely send it to yourself using Standard Notes, Bitwarden, encrypted email, etc. Or, if you have another device capable of scanning a QR code, press 'Show QR'.
You'll now go to your Ronin UI and click 'Push TX' in the left hand sidebar to broadcast, or push, your transaction. Simply paste your HEX output and click 'Send tx'
You're done, congrats!
Bonus - Broadcast from Sentinel!
To broadcast your signed HEX transaction from Sentinel, it is largley the same process. Instead of pasting the HEX output into RoninDojo UI, you'll take the output and paste it into Sentinel.
To do this, simply open Sentinel -> tap the three dots in the right hand corner -> settings -> tap 'Broadcast transaction hex'
From here, you can press 'ENTER TRANSACTION IN HEX FORMAT' to paste the HEX output or you can simply press 'SCAN' to scan the QR code shown to you previously when you first signed your transaction back on step 3.
