Setup

- Punch out the sim card and insert it into your phone
- Visit mintmobile.com/activate or download the Mint Mobile app and select "Activate your SIM"
- Enter the 11 digit ACT code located on the back of your SIM card
- Select: Get a new number
- Enter a zip code (Area code of your new phone number will correspond to the zip you provide)
- Enter a "name" and email address (you will not need to verify the email) and create an account password.
Make sure to save the email address and password you use in a safe place, so you will be able to log back into your Mint account.
Renewals
Once your 3-month plan is up, you can renew into a 12-month plan to keep the same monthly rate – 3 and 6 month plans are $5 more per month when renewing.

If you don't want to pay for 12 months up front and don't want to pay the extra $5 per month for the 3 or 6 month plan; you can simply start over with a new sim kit, although you won't be able to keep your same phone number.
